We now have a high school SOPHOMORE!!! Yikes! It was a great first year of high school! But, according to Brooke, her brain was ready for a break! haha!
Now she's off to Louisiana for a short period of time to visit family and attend swim camp at LSU. Her and Madi are there together. See a pic below of them their first day in LA. Madi, my vegetarian child, had crawfish her first night there. I'm so proud of her! From what I heard, it took a few times for her to get over the fact that she had to pull the head off of something she was getting ready to eat! haha! We know that our families are thoroughly enjoying them! They're both great kids! For those of you who don't know, Brooke and Madi met on their 1st day of pre-school when they were 4-years-old during our first time around in North Carolina. Madi's mom and I realized quickly that we actually lived 3 doors down from each other! It was fate! We have remained friends with Madi's family over the years and we somehow all got back to North Carolina again when the girls hit high school. We live about 40 minutes away from each other but it's so much better than being on opposite coasts like we were! We're all so happy the girls can be together again! Not to mention we love her family!!!!!
