Another milestone...
Well, last night we attended a meeting at Swansboro High School for upcoming freshmen and their parents to register Brooke's classes for next year...first year of high school!!!! Things are so much different than when we were in school. She'll be taking 4 classes the first half of the year (Honors English I, World History, Orchestra, and either P.E. or Health Team Relations), then she'll take 4 different classes the second half of the year (Geometry, Honors Earth/Environmental Science, Orchestra, and whichever previously mentioned elective she didn't take the first half). Our nextdoor neighbor...he's a teacher & his wife is a substitute teacher at the high school...gave us a tour. It's so big!!! We can't believe our little girl is going to high school next year! Aaaaaaahh!!!!
What else is going on...Ben is currently in Nevada for training until May 31. Brooke had her last orchestra concert last Thursday. They sounded wonderful, of course, and her and three other violinists played the Star Spangled Banner at the start of the concert. And her dance recital is this Saturday.
